In January 1854, the
first Cobb & Co coach left the Criterion Hotel in Melbourne,
bound for Forest Creek, a gold digging close to Bendigo. This was the beginning of a legend that has lasted for over 150 years. Today it is one of the most recognisable icon brands in Australia – alongside such names as Eureka and the Man from Snowy River.
